Prior to founding Agile Maria worked at Sempra Energy utilities in the supply chain management department. She held various roles at Sempra including lead Project Management Coordinator for many strategic sourcing initiatives. Maria has also held roles at other companies including Qualcomm in the Supplier Management Program and at a Mexican based maquildora.
Maria graduated cum laude from USD with an International MBA and Supply Chain project emphasis. She holds her undergraduate degree in Spanish from the University of California Santa Barbara and is a Certified Purchasing Manager by the Institute of Supply Management. Maria served as the VP of Administration for the American Production and Inventory Control Society Orange County Chapter, is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners, is a member of ISM San Diego and is the President of the University of San Diego’s Supply Chain Management Alumni Association (SCMA2). She is actively engaged with mentoring several students and small businesses.
Maria spends her free time outdoors. She played Division I softball for UCSB and maintains her competitive spirit through recreational softball, marathons, triathlons and mountain bike racing. She also enjoys horseback riding.
